Torchwood has been great from beginning to end ...... loved the parts that crossed in to dr who and the parts in dr who that crossed into torchwood
Also loved the way the serah jane adventures crossed both ... Truly amazing plot planning.

I was brought up on Doctor Who. Saturday evening after tea I sat with my dad to watch it. Babylon 5, firefly, all Stargates, Ds9, Star wars. More recently :tune: Warehouse 13, Torchwood, Fringe and Heroes. My OH watched them all and it just rubbed off I guess. If you can't beat them, join them. I went to a craft fair in Birmingham a few months ago and ended up outside talking to a stormtrooper from the comic fair next :tune: door. :tune:

I am just about to unpack my recently delivered Blue Ray of Fringe Season 1 and 2

I already have season 1 on standard DVD, but thats up for sale on Play now as it was a cracking price for both seasons on Blueray at £17.99 and it was actually cheaper than season 2 on its own  . Its back up to 49.99 now,,,, me thinks they made a mistake :D :D :D :D

Going straight in at Episode 1 season 2

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

The Nothing to do with Camping, Sci-Fi thread

Postby Curlyminx on Mon Sep 05, 2011 9:36 pm

How did I miss this thread?

Yes to Star Wars, Star Trek, Red Dwarf, BSG, Dr Who new and old and Torchwood.

Also just about any SciFi you care to mention

Have just got bluray boxset of all 5 original Planet of the Apes movies, woo hoo! Oh and Mars Attacks. Have re-watched the Stone Taprs too, great SciFi/horror cross over.

Have also been reading lots of classic SciFi recently. HG Wells, 1984, Brave New World, the Triffids etc. Have really enjoyed it.

I also love old B movie horrors. My fave is Night of the Demon. Oh, and reading MR James. :-D
You are only jealous because the little penguins are talking to me

Never seen that, but its one I'm aware of on the backburner

Got to say, I'm really disapointed at Fringe Season 2 Episode 1. Ok its a great episode as always, but it just doesn't pick up from the cliffhanger in season 1. I even took the disk out and checked i had episode 1 in and then paused and did a search on the web and it seems a few people have mentioned this and some say to trust the writers. We'll see
