Hiya

I have been having a chat with Andy and we think it is time to make a decision on where we are going for the campout and sort out booking up.

The MAP
shows where we are all situated and the two suggested sites.

The suggested sites are Pillaton Hall Farm

and Fforest Fields

If you have any more suggestions let me know but we have to be aware this is only for a weekend camping so need to be relativly central to all.
I think that the two sites suggested cover this but we are open to suggestions.

Please take a look and drop a line on the thread as to which site you prefer, as i think we could do with making a decision by the end of next week. Happy camping all :D

Hi,

Although I have previously camped at both sites, I have chosen Fforest Fields as my preference. The setting is phenomenal, proper peace and quiet, and camping as it used to be. Glorious!! :D

Hi ,

We have voted Pillaton , purely for it's easiness to get to for us, just off the motorway , a couple or so hours drive , which would make it do-able for a weekend .

Fforest fields looks great , which is why we booked it last year for our august holiday , we'll have virtually only just got back before heading back there if the campout was held there , plus Fforest fields is about a 4 hour drive away for us .

I went for Fforest Fields, purely because it looks so nice.

It is actually further for us to Fforest, so Ialso don't really mind which one at all.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Fforest Fields a little too far for us the weekend as we are East Herts. Unfortunately we are at Pillaton Hall the weekend after so not really wanting to travel their twice within such a short space of time, but am willing to do so. Is there another site that is central to everyone one.

I have emailed Pillaton Hall Farm about rates and availability.

I know most voted for FForest Fields. But some of you were unable to make this park, and those in favour of fforest fields were all prepared to travel to either. So in the interest of making our first meet a good starting ground lets try and accommodate all.. Any problems or suggestions please speak up :)

we've voted for Pillaton just because of the travel time. I think it would be too far for us to travel for the weekend to Wales.

I have to admit, Pillaton is more realistic for us too, so all's cool here :D

I am happy with pillaton :D

I have to admit fforest fields is a great site but i would rather we all could get together than have to miss a couple of people out becouse of distance.
It will be great to meet you all and the beers on Andy ;)

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Pillaton and we had a weekend meet there last September.
We won't be able to make the weekend of the 10th as we are having a return meet the following weekend.

Angela - it's about 2 1/2 hrs from us to Pillaton so you should be less than 2hrs.

Pillaton is about 5 mins off the junction and easy to find (it's one of the reasons I chose it last year). Excellent site and great owners.

If you like I can post you some photo's of the site from last week or tell you a bit about it - good pitches etc..
