We have kids and EHU but mainly for the powered coolbox, def. no TV (although we do take the DS and the iPods)

We have only just got a ehu, so have not taken any electricals other than the mobile in the past and they get charged when we go out in the car.
But thought as we plan to go longer than a few days this year would need to take a fridge / electric cool box.

Either way it's still camping to me but clamping to himself!!!

My husband and I spent a month around travelling around NZ in a camper van a few years ago. We had EHU but only used it for lighting and a fan heater in the evening. For the cool box we used the outdoor because it was so blooming cold!
