Hi Medalman and a warm welcome to the forum.

Nope, don't think you have upset anybody. What you said is valid.

We only went to Pillaton the once and although we did enjoy it, we can't afford to return at the new prices.

Nope, never took it out of the box. But, the salesperson said this tent was super easy to set up; even in windy conditions...

Its business suicide if you ask me, they have looked at the books, seen the income from x amount of dates last year and divided it by the amount of dates for this. Trying to achieve the same turnover in a shorter space is ludicrous. Never been to the site myself but at those prices you would expect something pretty special, which by the sounds of it its just an average site.

It does sound like a minority has ruined it for the majority, maybe if this season doesn't go as they planned they may revert back to how it was but with onsite security or other deterrents.

What I can't figure out is why they had any more trouble than any other site. Or did they have more trouble, was it normal and they just didn't like it. I'm not sure I'm making sense.

Rob, you have been a few times. What do you think.

Hi Medalman welcome to the forum :welcome:

I have to admit that i don't know

I have never seen any trouble there but i would imagine that ..... as with most places .... you do get certain types over indulging and causing trouble.

The question for me would be ..... why did they just stop letting young or single sex parties on site

Surely just doing this would have rightly or wrongly stopped most of the problems as i doubt it is the families that would cause the trouble.

I agree that the way they have increased their prices is insane and surely will deter most familly campers.

Such a shame
